About Chinquapin Grove Baptist Church

Our Mission is to be God’s voice in the Mountains that points unbelievers to faith in Christ and instructs believers in Christ-like behavior.

Matthew 28:19-20 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

It is our passion and calling to take the gospel and lead people to Christ so that they may be saved and inherit eternal life in Heaven.

It is also our passion and calling to those who have received Christ as Savior to assist them in the process of sanctification. (Maturity, or growing in their faith)

The following 5 terms create our vision to help accomplish our mission:
1. Evangelism
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

2. Discipleship
2 Tim. 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
2 Peter 3:18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

3. Fellowship
1John 1:3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. 4 And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.

4. Worship
Psalms 95:6 O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker.
Psalms 96:9 O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth.

5. Ministry
Matthew. 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in Heaven.
Acts 6:4 But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.

In short: our mission and vision is Christ!
