    Heavy mixed precipitation possible. Total snow accumulations between 4 and 10 inches will be possible, primarily north of Knoxville with the heaviest accumulations near the Kentucky border and far western Virginia. In addition to the snow, ice accumulations up to one half of an inch will be possible, primarily south of Knoxville. The greatest ice accumulations will likely be south of a line from Crossville to Tellico Plains, especially the southern Cumberland Plateau.

    Portions of southwest North Carolina, east Tennessee, and southwest Virginia.

    From late Friday night through Sunday evening.

    Expect power outages and tree damage due to the ice. Travel could be impossible.

The Oasis of Kingsport
The Oasis is a Christ-centered women’s day center where women are considered “guests.” Guests can do 2 loads of laundry (including the laundry products), get free haircuts,  take free hot showers with towels and toiletries provided, and utilize free WIFI and computer access for job searching and college applications. Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport, TN
Holston Valley Medical Center has several volunteer opportunities: Main Lobby/Reception, CCU Waiting Area, Waterfall Lobby, Guest Services, Same-Day Surgery, Outpatient Radiology, Beverage Cart, Mail/Magazine Delivery. Heavenly Homes (aka The Big Black Bus)
Heavenly Homes (aka The Big Black Bus) parks near Munsey Memorial Presbyterian in downtown Johnson City every Sunday morning at 8:30 am. Bus Director, Tom Campbell, and volunteers provide a place to warm up, get a cup of hot coffee, a fresh doughnut, and other needed items such as winter wear, blankets and health, and beauty aids. They also minister to the people one on one as well as have a time of worship and Bible study.
