About Refresh Her with Denise Cunningham

I’m a southern gal, raised in central Kentucky, and now living in the beautiful mountains of East Tennessee. I am so blessed to have been married more than 35 years to a man who is my companion, friend, encourager, and the love of my life. We are enjoying the empty nest after having the joy of raising two daughters. We rejoice as we see them and their husbands live out God’s plan for their lives. We have no greater joy than to hear that our children walk in truth. III John 4

I live for my Savior because He’s changed my life. I want my life to count for Christ. One Day when I stand before Him I want to hear Him say, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” It’s my blessing to serve Him in my church in our ladies’ ministry, and in mentoring and teaching.

I’m very much a homebody. I love the shabby chic decor embodied by painted furniture, chandeliers, and pastels. I love cooking and baking and am guilty of trying new recipes out on my guests. I also love being married and try to make our home a place where my husband is excited to return.

A few last details about me…
I’m left-handed. I hoard chocolate. My dresser drawers are usually a mess. I have an identical twin. I have a reputation as a prankster. I’m dangerous around the fire. I crave Mexican food. I’m dreaming about writing a book.

That’s all about me in a nutshell!
